IPL Skin Rejuvenation

What is IPL Skin Rejuvenation?

IPL Skin Rejuvenation (Intense Pulse Light) is one of the leading treatments for sun-damaged skin. It reduces the appearance of sunspots, freckles, redness and visible broken capillaries whilst also stimulating the regeneration of collagen and elastin.

This treatment can be done on all areas of the body but is most commonly used on the face, neck and décolletage.

How does it work?

IPL Skin Rejuvenation works by heating the superficial pigmentation and freckles causing them to darken and flake away over 7-14 days. It also heats up broken capillaries to coagulate the blood causing them to shut down and disappear.

The treatment

The skin is cleansed and cooling conductive gel is applied to the treatment area.

Patients cannot wear fake tan or have recent sun exposure 2 weeks prior to treatment.

How many treatments?

3 – 6 treatments

Enhance your results:

Combine with cosmetic injectables such as wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers to treat fine lines and wrinkles.

Similar treatments to IPL Photo Rejuvenation:

Several treatments are similar to IPL rejuvenation (Intense Pulsed Light) in terms of their ability to improve the appearance of the skin and reduce the signs of ageing. Here are a few examples:

1. Laser skin resurfacing: This treatment uses a laser to lighten Pigmentation, diffuse redness, and rejuvenate the skin, which can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, and other skin imperfections.
2. Chemical peels AHA Peels: Chemical peels involve the application of a chemical solution to the skin, which causes the outer layers to peel away. This can help improve the skin’s appearance, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and address other skin concerns.
3. BBL (Broad Band Light) is a type of light-based treatment similar to IPL Photo Rejuvenation (Intense Pulsed Light) in that it uses light energy to target skin concerns and improve the appearance of the skin. They both use light to penetrate the skin and target specific structures, such as melanin and blood vessels, to address skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation, redness, and fine lines.
4. XcelV + is the cutting-edge laser technology and the range of treatments it offers—SM Aesthetic Lab’s most popular laser treatment. The CUTERA excelV+ is designed to address.
