What are Aptos Threads?

An Aptos thread lift is a way to lift sagging tissue and tighten loose skin without undergoing an invasive surgical procedure. Thread lifting is now one of the fastest growing anti-ageing treatments for facial lifting and body contouring without surgery. The benefits of no scarring, minimal downtime, immediate lift effect and long-lasting results make thread lifting an attractive option for those wanting a non-surgical anti-ageing solution. The results can last from 3-5 years depending on the patient.

How does it work?

The procedure involves inserting threads into the soft tissues, which are then pulled tight, lifting the skin. As a result, the face is redefined, volume restored, and the effects of ageing are significantly reduced. The threads dissolve over time resulting in an increase in collagen and elastin. This increase in collagen and elastin gives a long-lasting effect and improves skin tone and texture. This effect is like scaffolding under the skin to help support and fight the effects of gravity. Results are evident immediately and continue to improve over many months.

The treatment

A consultation is required with one of our registered nurses and cosmetic physicians before all injectable procedures where the patient’s concerns and goals are discussed. The treatment is then performed over 30-45 minutes and the patient is relaxed during this time. We apply a tape dressing over the area to help support the lifting threads. The treatment has minimal downtime, but mild bruising and swelling can occur. 3 x Complimentary LED Light Therapy treatments are included with every Aptos Thread Procedure to help speed up the healing process. All LED treatments include a double cleanse, hyaluronic hydrating serum, eye cream and moisturiser SPF.
