Before and After

PDO Mono Threads

What are PDO Mono Threads?

PDO Mono Threads are a non-surgical alternative for skin lifting and tightening. They are designed to rejuvenate and tighten skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles while stimulating collagen production to improve skin tone and texture.

There are two types of PDO Threads: Mono Threads and Double Screw Threads. Mono threads are single threads placed just under the skin to evenly tighten the area. Double screw threads are used to add volume to areas such as the cheeks or deep folds in the face.

How does it work?

The procedure involves inserting dissolvable threads into the soft tissues. As the body starts to break down the PDO thread it creates collagen which tightens and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This increase in collagen and elastin is noticeable in 4 weeks with full effects seen after 3-4 months.

Common areas that are treated:

  • Full face tightening
  • Jawline / jowls
  • Under the chin
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Eye area
  • Eyebrow lift
  • Cheeks
  • Neck
  • Cellulite
  • Post Pregnancy belly
  • Chest

How long do they last?

PDO threads last approximately 12 months.

The treatment

A consultation is required with one of our registered nurses and cosmetic physicians before a PDO Thread Procedure where the patient’s concerns and goals are discussed.

The threads are then placed under the skin one at a time. The patient may experience some mild swelling and bruising post treatment.
