What is PRP Skin Rejuvenation
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Skin Rejuvenation is a treatment designed to help improve skin texture, complexion and facial volume by injecting platelet-rich plasma back into the skin. PRP can help refine pores, even skin tone and give skin a healthy dewy glow.
How does it work?
Platelet Rich Plasma contains cellular regenerating growth factors. When injected into the skin it triggers the body’s natural healing response stimulating collagen regeneration, increasing blood flow and vascularisation of the area.
The treatment
A consultation is required with one of our registered nurses and cosmetic physicians before all injectable procedures where the patient’s concerns and goals are discussed.
Platelet Rich Plasma is extracted from the patient’s blood and centrifuged to separate the PRP from the red blood cells. The PRP is then reinjected into the treatment area. The patient may experience some mild swelling and bruising post treatment.
How many treatments?
3 treatments followed by maintenance treatments.
